All reservations are made online through Dineplan. We do not take bookings via email, Whatssap or social media, as this helps ensure that every has the same opportunity to book.
We release bookings in two-month blocks throughout the year. The upcoming opening date can be found on our BOOKINGS page.
Good to Gather is intentionally very small, with limited tables. We want very guest to enjoy an unhurried, intimate experience, which means availability is extremely limited. Demand is often much greater than the number of seats we have available.
You are welcome to send us an email to enquire about a waiting list spot, as cancellations do happen from time to time.
A deposit helps protect our tiny restaurant from last-minute cancellations and no-shows. Because we prepare a seasonal set menu, and have so few tables, a cancelled booking has a significant impact on our small business.
Because demand is so high, we want as many different guests as possible to experience Good to Gather. For this reason we honour one booking per party during each two-month booking release period.
Yes, wherever possible. Please let us know about any dietary requirements when making your reservation, or at least 72 hours before you booking. Unfortunately due to the nature of our seasonal menu and small kitchen we are not able to cater for every dietary preference.
No. We serve a seasonal set menu that changes regularly according to what is available from local farmers, producers, and our own gardens.
Our operating times are currently lunch on a Saturday and Sunday, only. We do open some public holidays, and may extend to a Friday lunch in the summer months.
We welcome children who will enjoy the same dining experience as the adults, and can provide a child friendly meal if given notice ahead of your booking. Please note that children must be included in the booking. For example, it would be unreasonable to book for a table of 6 guests, but not advise that 4 children would also be joining, which in reality would be a table for 10 guests. This puts unnecessary pressure onto our dining room and kitchen team.
We occasionally host private celebrations and small events, to a maximum size of 30 guests. We unfortunately cannot host weddings.
Please contact us with the details of your event and we will happily let you know if we can host you.
Only by prior arrangement. And only if dining outside as unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets in the inside dining space. Dogs must be well-behaved and on a leash at all times.
Yes, we do have a small pantry shop that stocks the Rozendal vinegars made in the farm cellar, as well as other locally sourced items.
Please get in touch with us before your booking and we will gladly advise on accessibility
