GOOD TO GATHER is a tiny restaurant, seating 36 guests for lunch on a Saturday and a Sunday. We serve a set course menu at R650 per person.* Excludes beverages and service. Please allow at least 2 hours to enjoy your meal and experience.

Reservations can only be made through the online reservation platform, and we do not accept reservation requests over email, phone, whatssap, or social media platforms
Please note:
- We are currently fully booked until the end of October 2026. Our bookings open in two month blocks, with our November and December scheduled to open online at 7am on TUESDAY 1st September.
- We understand the frustration in not being able to get a booking, due to our tiny size we have a limited offering. We do get cancelations from time to time, so please send any waiting list requests and we will do our best to accommodate.
- Unfortunately we do not take reservations by telephone or email, and will direct you to the Dineplan website. If a date is not available you are welcome to send us a message via email or message for waiting list options.
- Our largest table available to book is a table of 8 (although this can possibly be extended to accommodate 10 guests). Our dining area, both inside and outside, unfortunately cannot seat larger groups due to space constraints.
- We typically see a high demand for smaller tables, but only have a limited number of tables for 2 when available. Our dining rooms is configured to accommodate a selection of small to larger tables, ranging from 2 seaters up to 8 guests.
- A deposit fee is payable and an email will be sent to you with an online payment link. We do not use the automated Dineplan service due to the expensive processing fees, but rather use Yoco for secure online payments. The deposit fee will be deducted from your bill on the day of your booking. The deposit fee is fully refundable if your booking is cancelled with 72 hours notice. Failure to do so will deem the deposit non-refundable.
- If you wish to reduce the party size, we cannot issue a refund on the deposit, unless we are able to place you at a smaller table. Kindly note that reductions in party size on the day, will not be refunded. Likewise, increases to the table on the day is challenging, and we would appreciate notice ahead of arrival. Children are considered as part of the total headcount, so please take them into consideration when booking.
- With just a handful of tables, our little restaurant fills up very quickly, and we want to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity to visit. To help us do that, we have two small requests:
Please book for the number of guests who genuinely intend to dine.
We completely understand that plans can change, and if your numbers change unexpectedly, just let us know as soon as you can. We will always do our best to accommodate it. However, intentionally reserving a larger table simply to secure a particular date or time, with the intention of reducing the booking later not only prevents us from offering those seats to other guests but also has a financial impact on our small business.
One reservation per party, per 2 month calendar opening.
As demand continues to grow, we're limiting reservations to one booking per party, per online calendar opening. This simply helps us share the available tables a little more fairly and gives more guests the chance to experience Good to Gather. If multiple reservations are made within the same calendar opening, we will contact you to confirm which booking you'd like to keep.
We know these requests won't suit everyone, but we hope you'll understand that they're simply our way of caring for a very small dining room and a community of guests who all hope to find a seat at our table 🙏
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
We will endeavour to accommodate dietary requirements and serious food allergies if notified well in advance using the ‘special requests’ field on the online booking form. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate any menu changes if informed on the day of your booking.
We offer a small wine and beverage list. BYO is allowed on wine with a R95 corkage fee.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
We are able to accommodate the following dietary restrictions: vegan, dairy-free/lactose-free, vegetarian
You MUST advise us upon making your booking if any of your guests have any allergies or other dietary requirements.
We may be unable to cater for dietaries without 24 hours notice and will be unable to accommodate these if you only advise us on the day.
Children are welcome but please be aware that those aged 3 and above will be charged a nominal amount as they do contribute to our total number of guests. We can offer a child-friendly meal for children aged 3 - 12 years of age if given suitable notice.
Please ensure children are well behaved at all times for the comfort of all guests dining.
